Kittyn Brings You Part 1 of Her Christmas Bash PLUS the World Debut of Gene-Manuel - ‘SNOWLIGHT’

WebKittyn is back on the air with the first half of a two-week Christmas event guaranteed to tickle your spirits, offend your sensibilities, fill you with holiday mojo and even make you laugh here and there.

Last year's Christmas show was bizarre. Expect more of the same this year only I've gotten a little better at it. You'll hear some of the timeless classics that have come to be a part of every Christmas. You'll hear some of the most foul and vile parodies of these timeless classics, definitely not one for the kidlings!

But more important than that, you'll get to be the very first anywhere to hear the world debut of our dear friend Gene-Manuel's new song - 'Snowlight!'

Gene-Manuel was gracious enough to let KMRL be the first station to play his song and it's a good one. I've listened to it 4 times since I got it, it's soothing my spirit. I can see myself sitting on the couch looking out on a wondrous snowfall turning the world white, sipping a latte and listening to 'Snowlight' as all the world's drama leaves me for a short reprieve. Is there a better Christmas present than that?

'Snowlight' will premier at 10:00 PM EST and again at the end of the night at 12:00 AM.

So please, turn off the television and come join us tonight! I promise you some laughs, some 'oh my God, did they really just sing that?' and some fond and spirited conversation in the chat room as we munch on cookies, sip the Yule nog and enjoy the company of friends!

WebKittyn's Christmas Huzzah - Tonight at 9 PM EST.

**The following is an excerpt of the official SNOWLIGHT press release**

Gene-Manuel’s new holiday single, SNOWLIGHT, will be available for download via GENE-MANUEL.COM starting on the evening of December 13th! The single will be offered as a free download for the entire month of December.

Gene-Manuel hopes people will download and share SNOWLIGHT, worldwide. “The intent behind the song is to really brighten up our global landscape a little. It’s a song dealing with escaping the world for a while, flying through the air and being free. But at the same time, it deals with some of the sadness that is always attached to the holiday season, especially in our current global climate. I would love for people to download it and pass it on. If they like it of course.”

The single was written and produced by Gene-Manuel and Michael Morgan, who worked together on this year's hit CD, Sophisticated Kink.

Calling all Gimps, Gimp Activists, And The Like

As seen on my blog...

One of the things I love about LiveJournal is its thriving Crip Culture. I belong to cerebral_palsy and read it frequently. It keeps me updated on important gimpy issues. An acquaintance of mine, maccaj and another person, altersonality, have a project called 40 million. 40 million is a project which aims to put Disabled Issues on the 2008 election.

In the words of maccaj:

Whether you know it or not, we are bar none, the *most* oppressed minority in this country. The Americans with Disabilities Act was designed as foot-in-the-door legislation, as a starting point... instead, in the 16 years since its passage, it has been gutted beyond all repair. It is toothless, it is unenforceable, and if you think I'm exaggerating, consider that 86% of that 40 million are unemployed. Is it because we're lazy by nature? Or is it because we can't possibly have a remotely even playing field?

My former university, which accepted federal scholarship funding and was therefore subject to the ADA, was in violation of not only the (1990) ADA, but the Rehab Act of 1973. It still is. Nothing has been done, and nothing will be done unless and until the ADA carries *real*, tangible consequences for those who willfully violate it.

and Altersonality,

We need to yell that we won't stand to be second class citizens anymore.

40 Million Voices shouting, yelling. 40 Million Voices voting for politicians who will fight for equality and a better life. We have our already inferior programs gutted. Medicaid/Medicare and SSI/SSDI are the first to get cut, then it's social programs like the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, which should do as the name states but doesn't do anything.

The "hub" of all the 40 million project is at LiveJournal: http://community.livejournal.com/40_million/. Their Yahoo! group is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/40million/

Mojo Mondays with Kineada!…"Live Show Two Weeks In A Row!” Edition

Wow...at this rate, Kittyn is going to have to put the little "live" icon thing back on my show's spot in the Live365 schedule! Anyhow, be here tonight as we play more random crap, stuff from Darkstar's "Sexiest Songs of Darkness" post over at his http://www.thedarkstar.net message board (What, you're not posting there already? Head on over there right now!), an apology to Darkstar for saying that a Dead Milkmen song reminded me of him, and of course, with the Christmas season still looming large on the horizon, MORE CHRISTMAS SONGS! Oh, and my beloved Pittsburgh Penguins are playing the foul Washington Capitals tonight, so there's likely to be hockey talk as well!

Tune in at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, and don't forget to join us in the chat room too!

The Darkhours Tonight!

Tonight's Darkhours is "a little to do about nothing". No definitave theme, as we try to get back to those shows that were more fun when they were just a hodge podge of good old unwholesome darkness.

Like a musical orgy of naughtyness, we'll be having our fun in the chatroom. There may even be an open forum for suggestions on things that can make your Darkhours experience even more enjoyable... But you have to be in the chatroom for that.

So join us again for yet another danse fandango and a another trip into the macabre. There's lot's of new tunage to tweak your ears!

11pm EST. Be there.... Or a pox will befall your future lineage

I’m getting better… I promise!

So once again I’m here, here to nudge myself into being social… something I’m never very good at. Once again I urge your to tune into your dj’s only because I can’t most of the tiime and someone has to help me let them know they are loved above all.  Secret Santa is coming around and should be being handed out soon (and if I missed who go who, for goodness sakes let me know, I’m not really a blonde… just sorta oblivious). Also if anyone is talented and wants to help me get my avatar for the forum and all those links and buttons that everyone else uses put together, please let me know cause I’m not talented either.

Remember to mark your DJ and have a safe and happy holiday.
