Default Rotation Overhaul, July News!
The addition of Space Cadet to the KMRL Crew was just the beginning of what we have going on for the month of July! Call it all a big ole KMRL thank you to the listeners!June was the best month we've had since the doors opened almost a year ago. Listener numbers were at an all-time high and we blew past our listening hours quota (from Live365) like I've never seen! I haven't seen a chat room with under 10 people during any show and to my pleasant surprise I discovered people hang in the chat room when no one is on live just to chat with each other. Everyone seems to have told a friend or two and it just keeps getting better.
I am humbled and blown away by the past month here at KMRL, I can't say thank you enough.
Coming in July are at least three new shows by three new hosts that we think you'll really like. None of the same old stuff you can hear anywhere, we've been searching the internet for shows with an angle, hosts with ideas and themed shows brought to you as only the minds behind the KMRL staff can bring! If at any point you are not satisfied, please feel free to return your cookie for a full refund!
The KMRL default rotation has undergone a serious overhaul. Yes, we do have a full copy of SAM we're putting together but for the meantime we've added 233 new songs to the already existing 207 giving you a total of 450 songs! That's 32 hours and 7 minutes without repeating a song.
We've tried to add a bit of everything. There are requests from hosts and listeners, the additions of Kinky's Ex and Bronx-VILLE and even "Rhinestone Cowboy" just for Bruce Wayne!
The new songs have all been added to the default rotation page and are posted in italics. However, if you just want to see a list of the new songs added, you can see that here because we aim to please!
Our rotation is your rotation. If there is a song we don't have that you want to see on the rotation then just post on the forums with the song name and artist and I'll add it within 24 hours.
Where else can you hear Martina McBride followed by GWAR? Only on KMRL!
Starting in July - The KMRL Featured Listener! We want to do something nice for you. Without you we would just be another internet radio station and don't ever think we don't appreciate every single one of you. Each month we're going to pick one listener and do a little write-up about this person and give them a 6 month VIP Membership to Live365! It's just a little something we want to do to say thank you.
Next week on KMRL is going to be a good one. Tuesday night we have D'Sarus Odiferus and Cattus Maximus covering the Deathsquad Show and then July 4th happens to fall on Hear Kitty Kitty day! There will be special programming going on all day during the 4th so tune in! Then on Saturday the 7th Deathsquad will be doing the very first Saturday Night Special! Trust us, it's going to be a good week!
Coming the last weekend in July - the Blogathon! KMRL will be participating with a group blog and a whole lot of really kickass prizes from each of our hosts and more! We'll have games, refreshments and mojo for the full 24 hours! You'll hear more about that in a week or so but expect big things!
As we approach our one year birthday I'll say it again. Thank you to anyone and everyone who was a part of making June the best month yet for KMRL! Let's see if we can beat that for July.
