The Taming of the Frumious Bandersnatch

My recent discussions, pondering, random ramblings re: primate development, Neanderthals, birth of language, invention of tools, brain size, etc. etc. etc. had to lead to this.
Yes, you’ve guessed it; it’s time to discuss the bony secret of anthropodal anthropological anatomy (always alliterate); the… baculum. The topic that shamed Victorian scientists and makes modern ones blush. Why is it that humans are the only primates without one? Did Neanderthal Man have one? For that matter, why are Homo Sapiens the only primate to be evolving an increased… size, in that area? What about the recent studies that show that Homo-Sapien homosexuals are larger than heterosexuals, is that even possible? All these questions, and more than you ever wanted to know (or thought to ask) will be answered on this evening’s show.

I’ll also be playing some great music from many decades and genres, including some old songs from bands you may have never heard of, as well as new songs from new bands you should have heard of - but probably haven’t!

I’ll be broadcasting live from Buggery Ol’ Blighty at 11:00pm GMT, which is 6:00pm Eastern/3:00pm Pacific in the USA and midnight in Western Europe on KMRL Mojo Radio Live, so tune in where ever in the world you may be and make sure you come into the KMRL Chat Room to let me know what you think, or just to say hi!

The One Where Kittyn Whines Like an Emo Bitch for Two Hours Because She Didn’t Get Any Valentines!

Oh, my Dahlia. I wasn't going to do the show. I had plans of shutting off the world and wrapping myself in a blanket of every depressing X Japan song I could find and spending the rest of the night the same way I spent the day. Then I said screw that. I can't be the only miserable sot out here today so why not do the show.

If you're expecting happy happy Heather then I'd suggest skipping this one. Although I tend to be amusing when I'm bitter or sad or whatever but if you're riding the happy happy joy joy wave tonight then avoid me. I'm deeply disturbed I let the day get to me but I did and screw it, if I can't vent on my own station what am I doing co-owning the place.

It won't be all misery and bitching, I'm sure someone in the chat room will say something amusing and manage to get me to crack a laugh and maybe we'll have some fun. I have no idea.

Either way, I'm feeling rather crappy so if you're not doing anything tonight please come by and toss me some good cheery juju. It's okay if you had an amazing Love Day and Mr. Perfect got down on bended knee, you're still welcome. I can't guarantee the hostile ones won't eat your eyes but hey, it's KMRL.

So come on by and be my Valentine.

If Love is the Answer, Could You Rephrase the Question.

This week I’ve gotten a hold of a bunch of wild albums from the 70s, (including “Have A Nice Day”, vols #huh to #wtf, Billboard hits of various years and even “The Last Days of Disco"), so I’ll be sharing the psychedelic experience on this evening’s show - IOW, if you’re under 30 your mind will be blown by some of the weirdest shit that you never knew existed, and if you’re over 30 it’ll be a “groovy trip” down memory lane. Of course there’ll be some other music from other decades thrown in the mix. Can you think of a better way to celebrate the self induced diabetic coma brought on by too much candy, severe loneliness and wishful thinking that is Valentine’s Day?

While I’ll also be continuing my discussion from last week about the development of language, the mysteries of magick and the psuedo-supremacy of Homo-Sapiens, I’ll add saccharine to the fire of broken hearts, disappointment and desperation that mid February seems to bring out in even the best of us.

So tune in to KMRL Mojo Radio Live tonight, when I broadcast live from Buggery Ol’ Blighty at 11:00pm GMT, which is 6:00pm Eastern/3:00pm Pacific in the USA and Midnight in Western Europe. While you’re at it, make sure you come into the KMRL Chat Room to say hey, and let me know what you think.

Hello Kidney Radio with Kittyn and Mama Prude Tonight at 10PM NY Time!

It's Tuesday, it's that time again. Time for friends and strangers to come together in the world of the bizarre that is Hello Kidney Radio. Never planned in advance, never scripted, never well thought out, Hello Kidney Radio continues to be a mix of bad music, Mama Prude never having any idea what's going on, Kittyn blathering and input from the chat room folks but somehow it works and even manages to entertain here and there.

Tonight is no exception. I have no plan, I have no ideas. I just know I'll be there and hopefully so will some of you. Hey, there are worse things to be doing on a Tuesday night and TV can always be recorded. Come by the chat, make a new friend or show Kittyn and her frail psyche some love. You don't have to register, just make any name and hit enter and poof, you're a part of the inner circle of the Tuesday listeners.

You know the deal, we've been doing this a long time. I do have a few words to say about crazy Facebook strangers who attach themselves to you and after 'knowing' you purely online for a few days want to be your best friend but we'll save that.

So come on by, the grapefruit and most of the jokes are on me. 10PM Tonight, NY time.

Tonight at 9PM Before Hello Kidney Radio, Kittyn’s X Japan Hour, Inspired by The Eight

In my relentless quest to fill the USA with X Japan I have taken the suggestion of a listener and am officially going to do an occasional hour of pure X Japan before the real show. This was inspired by 'The Eight" who were there the first time I did this and I'll run around bare-ass naked with KMRL IS X painted across my ass if it will turn people on to these amazing musicians.

Not much talk during this hour, it's mostly music and it's what I'd be playing anyway before going on so why not share it with those who might be interested before the US album comes out and the tour starts and finally America catches on.

So if you're an X Japan fan or curious to hear some new music or see what the hell I keep going on about, tune it at 9PM for the official debut of Kittyn's X Japan Hour.

WE ARE X. KITTYN IS X. KMRL IS X.

Myths, Magick, Madness & Metaphor

Studying language I’ve learned some fascinating things about metaphor, while at the same time studying metaphor led me to some amazing things about mythology, legends & religions - which I’ve been studying the whole time. There are times when the synchronicity of the way disparate things are actually intertwined just blows my mind… which, of course, is the main reason I’ve been studying them in the first place. I often imagine the the evolution of the human psyche as a Möbius strip twisted into a Celtic knot.

That’s what I’ll be discussing during this evening’s show. As well as the differences between what our ancestors imagined the universe to be and what physics has actually shown it to be, along with some of the eerie similarities… Oh, and I’ll also reveal a few secrets of the inner orders of some modern left hand path religions just to keeps people on their toes.

All of that and great music from various decades and genres when I broadcast live from Buggery O’l Blighty at 11:00pm GMT, which is 6:00pm Eastern/3:00pm Pacific in the US and Midnight in Western Europe. Tune in to KMRL Mojo Radio Live to catch me live (don’t count on the podcast) and while you’re at it come into the Mojo Radio Live Chat Room and let me know what you think.

The Darkhours Episode CLXXV: Of Imbolc, History, Birthdays, Deathday’s and Sick Days.

Holy Crap! Feb 1st 2012: It’s Imbolc to those of the the metaphysical persuasion, the start of Black History Month for those of the African American persuasion, The Death of Soul Train Creator and Host, Don Cornelius, Co-Owner of KMRL Deathsquads Birthday and I’m sick as a dog and I feel as if I wanna die.

So here’s what we’re gonna do. I’m at Webkittyn Studios with she and MamaPrude again! No one wants my contagion around the studio equipment so Webkittyn will handle all the controls like last night but there will be Darkhours music along with the bizarre banter that happens when we all get together. There may even be pre-"Woo Wars” activity and more talk of relationships issues with the upcoming of Valentines Day. Too much to talk about in 2 hours? You may be right!

All I know is, I’m going to have fun and most likely be as irreverent as usual. I’ll probably offend someone… but then again, that’s why we come here. Weirdness abound! Come on down! See you tonight at 10pE, 7pP. 4aEUR.

Tell your friends, come to the chatroom!

The Darkhours: Always fun… Always Free.

Don’t be the one who missed out and had to hear about it from your friends.
