Men get laid, but women get screwed.
I’ve had my hand (well my entire, exhausted body, really) in recycling in this bloody country lately and I was thinking of doing a show about it, but then I realized that next week is Earth Day which would be a perfect time to get into all the pros & cons of what we, in this politicized era, consider recycling - vs what would actually benefit our planet and our society. While I’m in favor of recycling, I also agree with George Carlin when he said that environmentalism is more about spoiled people trying to have a nice place for themselves to live than any wish to help the environment or the planet.
So tonight, instead, I’ll talk about sexuality. The misogyny that permeates every level of our society, as well as various prejudices against any sexual practices that stray from an arbitrary “norm”. The bullshit “rules” imposed upon women to keep themselves as well as their partners in a constant state of sexual frustration… Since I’m not being given a moment’s peace to put my thoughts on “paper”, I’ll leave it at that and if you want to know more, you’ll have to tune in!

“I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad, the dreams in which I’m dying are the best I ever had”
Another week in Buggery Ol’ Blighty, that’s another 7 days/168 hours/10,080 minutes/604,800 seconds of heartache, stress, bullshit and mindless madness on and around the urethra of Jolly Ol’ England.
I met some good people, literally dealt with shit, worked my ass off and did a great job. My reward for all this is to be moved on to some other crap that nobody else is able/willing to do. Interestingly, I don’t whine and complain like the Brits around me, but this doesn’t actually allow me any progress - it’s what is expected of foreigners. I worked on Thursday with a horrible cold/blocked sinuses and mild fever without saying a word about it. Finished at 2pm, then got a call at 3:15pm canceling me for next week, and instead being switched to an even shittier job next week in Lewes - which means £4.50 train fare each way - the equivalent of roughly $16.00 round trip, before I even make a dime. Fecking England. I’ve got a college education. About worth the paper it’s printed on, if that.
I have been a combat soldier, musician, artist, actor, engineer, scientist, shit I managed to put the corner of an 1890’s NYC tenement building into a loft on the Upper West Side, and design and build a shark tank into a penthouse on the Upper East Side. I designed & built a metal cross that when suspended with someone attached to it unfolded into an inverted pentagram in a flash of flame. I’ve done male dom S&M shows that attracted lesbian feminists. I’ve worked for one of the most infamous underground icons in NYC, and even took hundreds of thousands of dollars home for him to keep it safe until the banks opened Monday.
Of course I’ve done some stupid things as well, but even those were glorious in their own way. Inventing the Pythagorean Theorem (yeah, Pythagoras already did it), discovered the effects of gravity/relative motion on time (yeah, Einstein already did it), but then again I developed an 11 dimensional representation of the universe that doesn’t require string theory. Anyhoooo… none of that matters in Buggery Ol’ Blighty. I’ve accomplished much, and still have so much potential, yet I can’t seem to find my niche here.
So what will my show be about tonight? Your guess is as good as mine. I’ll be discussing Blighty, the places & people; the cool people I’ve met as well as the assholes. I won’t just be complaining, ‘cause that’s not my style, but I may be censoring myself a bit less than usual. In the midst of all this madness I’ll be playing great music from across genres and decades, as usual.

The Darkhours Episode CLXXX: Super Happy Fun Time!
There’s a 24 hour laundry I sometimes go to that has all types of amusements for you to utilize while you’re there like ice ream vending machines, internet kiosks, video games, massage hairs and more. Thus I call it “Super Happy Fun Time”. I think I got that term from an episode of “South Park”. This...has absolutely nothing to do with the show tonight, but it gave me a thought for the title.
So it’s a nice spring night, I say we open a window and let the fun times roll under the filling moon. Let the darkness consume you because at the Darkhours we find happiness there.
All I know is, I’m going to have fun and most likely be as irreverent as usual. I’ll probably offend someone… but then again, that’s why we come here. Weirdness abound! Come on down! See you tonight at 10pE, 7pP. 4aEUR.

Divide and Slaughter
Another week, another tax bill (yeah that’s the great thing about England, there’s no level at which you don’t have to pay National Insurance. Whereas in the US you pay 7.5%SSI on whatever you earn, in the UK you pay a flat rate below a certain amount - meaning if you earn nothing you still owe something.) Mix that in with the 10% cut in the taxes for the 350,000 richest people in this country, and I’m right pissed off (whereas in England “pissed” means drunk, and “pissed off” makes no sense whatsoever). Exhaustion, economic terror and sunburn. Yup. ME with sunburn, and not even from having fun in the sun… it’s from working my ass off in the sun. Who’d a thunk it. So if I’m making even less sense than usual you’ll kindly understand and, I dunno, just “piss off” (which makes sense on both sides of the pond).
Tonight I’ll be discussing, racism, religion and politics (I wonder how many times have I typed those words), and perhaps I’ll analyze my overuse of parentheses. We’re in a world where the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer at the fastest rate in history, yet instead of dealing with it people are hiding behind racism, religious fanaticism, economic fairy tales and blatant selfishism (yeah, I know that’s not a word, and did I mention, piss off)! It’s been going on for hundreds of years and seems to be speeding up exponentially, like a fall down a dark well whose bottom is probably the end of the human race.
Think about it. Hundreds of years ago when the Irish and the Africans in the US started hanging out together, living in the same neighborhoods, etc. and the Irish began coming out politically against slavery, within a decade they were manipulated into racism - suddenly they hated the slaves for taking their jobs. Think about that, how sick is it that they were brainwashed into hating people who’d been kidnapped, raped and enslaved, for taking their jobs!
I am beyond trying to explain to Brits how Americans can be against fucking HEALTH CARE. But I can definitely see that the same type of manipulation and brainwashing is going on. It would be nice if there were some tea baggers in the chat room who could try to explain it, but they tend to avoid debating me like The Vatican avoiding pedophilia investigations.

The Darkhours Episode CLXXIX: Spring brings out the naughty in us.
I don’t know about you, but I notice that Spring brings out our naughty streak. People are gearing up for the “mating season” and that’s just the start of it. As the season gets warmer and the days stay lighter longer we come out of our hibernative states and try to slip into our Post Apocalyptic wear daily so that we may go out and club ourselves a mate or captivate the ones we have.
Tonight, the music will be full of energy for the chase. The mixes will be upbeat and the talk will be of things that make us want to bite a lovers neck. Join us for the fun!

Double Dose Tonight Starting at 9PM with Kittyn Heather and Mama Prude and J Rock and Babble Hour 1
As thrilled as I am to see the success of L'arc-en-Ciel at selling out Madison Square Garden, I'm a bit disturbed at all the attention they're getting as being the 'first Japanese band to headline' and blah blah when X Japan was originally scheduled in 2008 but had to cancel due to health issues. That aside, I'm going to start a little early tonight at 9 and basically rant a bit about that so those of you not interested can sit out. Of course there will be music and babble but I just feel like L'arc is taking a dig at X Japan and the doesn't sit well with me.Then at 10 we'll go to the regular two hours of horseshit although Darkstar isn't with us this week. I'm sure we'll still manage to have some fun and find something to make me laugh like an idiot over. Add in the usual mix of music that only I seem to like and you've got the idea. Hey, this isn't good radio. It's Kittyn's weekly tea party except someone laced the tea.
DON'T FORGET THE CHAT ROOM! It does my poor weak insecure self good to see people come show the love in the chat room. Or the hate, either one works for me. I can handle the haters.

I have seen all, I have heard all, I have forgotten all.
Every week I come across something strange or think of something new & unusual that I observe would be a great topic to discuss on Saturday’s show, then by Saturday morning I have somehow forgotten all and am scrambling for a topic. I could easily just write these things down, but the easy road has never been my path.
My week has been overwhelmed by the intricacies of British laws, requirements, certifications and general bullshit. All of which I’ve moaned about on more than one occasion, to the point that even I am growing bored at the sound of my own voice. On the other hand I’ve continued my research into religious psychopathy and political sociopathy, quantum relativity and causality - all of which will give me no end of topics to bitch and wonder about. As usual, in between I’ll be playing great music from across decades and genres.
