Its A Learning Process

I guess in short you could say I’m being shown how to control the radio station, including uploading my show directly to the station, so I don’t have to depend on others to get my show off the ground.  Well, with dial up it is a bitch.  I do not want to upload when I’m actually at my computer, because it kills my connection speed and its painful to do anything else internet wise.  I usually attempt to upload it when I go to sleep.  Summer time work is heavy, so either I fall asleep in my chair without starting the upload, only to wake up later, start the upload and hit the bed.  Of course in the hour I get, its not done when I get back up, and I go off to work.  And of course half the time my connection is dropped, killed the upload.

There’s also another factor, seems when I attempt to upload directly, my show which usually falls around 55mb is suddenly 120mb because it does some sort of audio conversation.  Then there is radio server space and learning how to actually delete my old show off the playlists, cause if I don’t do that, it uploads half the show and errors out at ‘Not Enough Memory’.  My fault, but a learning process.

Be sure to check the KMRL Schedule and of course Darkstar, if he’s on tommorrow, and all the other great shows which I’m jealous of, cause I can’t just do the show live.  Thankfully though I can now listen to everyone else without buffering every 5 seconds.

Tune in Next Week for Shows 64, I’m going to skip this one I’ve been attempting to upload.  Next week I shall introduce you to the band Grande with tracks from their first album, freshly released (see http://www.granderocks.com and http://www.myspace.com/grandenyc for details).  If you like classic metal such as that which gave birth to modern metal (ala Black Sabbath), you’ll enjoy them.  And hey, its a female singer, can’t rock more than that.
