Lies, Damn Lies and [Insert ignorant cause here]

It's these WTF moments caused by stupidity that I'll be going on about tonight.

For example, have you seen some of the insane shit coming out of the Tea Party movement? There are times when I start to honestly wonder if there really is a conspiracy. A conspiracy to see how much utterly insane, idiotic shit these people will fall for. A pattern I've noticed is quoting something completely spurious to back up a fallacious argument knowing that these people are too intellectually lazy to do any fact checking - they'll just re quote!
The other night Bachman said the HPV vaccine is know to cause retardation. Now it's being touted by Tea Baggers as fact! Show me the data, freaks... 'Cause from what I've seen, out of 30,000,000 vaccinations there hasn't been one case of "retardation".
Then Lew Rockwell said that in the recently released interview, Jackie Kennedy stated that LBJ was involved in the assassination of her husband. She said no such thing... but will any of these people bother to check for themselves?

The list goes on... there's the EDL in the UK, oy fucking VEY!

So, my challenge for myself this evening is to vent about some of these things, point out the BS, and play some really great music - great enough to keep everybody in a good mood in spite of the imminent collapse of Western Civilization, or is it Nimbutu, or Hydrogen Monoxide chem-trails poisoning us 'cause the Masonic Illuminati Black Pakistani Muslim Reptilians are trying to take over the world with their "Muslamic Rayguns, INNIT!" no less...
