Remember, Remember the SIXTH of November?
Today, the 5th of November, is Bonfire Day (also known as Guy Fawkes Day) in the UK, when they celebrate the burning of Catholics at the stake. It is also one the one year anniversary of my arrival in England, and what a year it's been. If nothing else, it's been a crash course in controlling my temper - and I seem to have passed (so far) with flying colors (or colours as the Brits like to say).Meanwhile tomorrow, the 6th of November, is my birthday. Gotta love the fact that the Brits celebrate my arrival and birthday with fireworks and the immolation of religious fanatics.
So, for tonight's broadcast I will be playing some of my favorite songs. I still have no idea how I will manage to choose less than two hours of music out of the hundreds of songs that are my faves, but I will do my best. In between songs I'll be discussing Bonfire Day, Guy Fawkes, religious fanatics and whatever else happens to pop into my deranged mind. Also, due to the fact that I will be broadcasting live from England at 11pm - 1am GMT, my B'Day will hit while I'm on the air, and since this is a relatively big one (and if I've drunk enough), I may just divulge my actual age. Probably not though!
Make sure you tune in at 11pm GMT (which is 6pm Eastern/3pm Pacific in the USA, and Midnight in Western Europe) to KMRL Mojo Radio Live <([Click there to launch the KMRL Radio Player in a new window) and make sure you come into the Chat Room to let me know what you think, to say hi or (hint, hint) to say happy birthday.
