Technical problems last night were NOT KMRL but seemed to be me

I just wanted to clear the air, last night I had major technical problems that at first I thought were related to KMRL.
At 7:30, a full half hour before my show’s start time I was getting everything ready to broadcast, but was unable to get to KMRL Chatroom, Live365, MojoRadio’s main page, the station Icon login page or anything associated with the show. I was able to get to other webpages like Yahoo, Google, my blog, MySpace and several others.  I assumed it must have been KMRL’s servers and posted a MySpace bulletin saying as much. By 8:15 when I was unable to get on, Hecubus called me and informed me that he and others were in chat and waiting for me to go on. He even told me that I appeared in chat.

I then posted a MySpace bulleting saying that the technical problems did in fact seem to be mine and not KMRL’s and saying that Hecubus would be on the air and in chat.  I had rebooted my computers ( 3 ) computers and ( 2 ) different Networks on ( 2 ) different cable modems.  So Finally at 9:15 I was able to get signed on and took over from Hecubus, finishing up the last 45 minutes, in what must be called the most pathetic show I’ve ever done.  By 9:15 I was so flustered that I was having a meltdown on the air.

What happened?  I have no clue.  As I said, I could get on ANY website not related to doing the show. I had rebooted the computers and network twice and was finally able to get on.
I’ll admit that I’m not the most technical guy, despite having all the equipment, but I’m not an idiot either.  Paranoia got the best of me in the end and I figured that my network had been hacked and my IP address compromised.  Today I’m feeling less paranoid, but still clueless.

So, I’d like to offer an appology to KMRL and the fine people who run everything behind the scenes for initially blaming the station for the issues.

If anyone has any hypothosis on what the problem was please feel free to contact me at thebear@mojoradiolive or or

I’ve done virus scans, spyware scans, checked connection speed and everything comes up clean.  I’m stumped.
