Hmmmmmm...Yankees World Series or not, no one is taking this fourth and last installment away from me. This time, it’s not about the mix but back to basics...the ambience that is Halloween. With the multi-genre format, there’ll be all sorts of bizarre spooktacular songs to make your skin grow bumps. This time it’s the big ball of all the years shows. This is the one we wait for every year! This is the truest celebration of Halloween one can have...so you better freakin’ be there!
KMRL’s resident Pumpkin King of Kool returns for the 4th and last installment of the SHOCKTOBER editions of the Darkhours!Last week I started telling some of my true life ghost stories again and this time I’m going to delve deeper into stories that although they sound of fiction, they are quiet true and to hear them is a privilege.
Once again, I invite you for a fireside chat to drink cider and listen to spooky funky kinky tunes as we celebrate Halloween every Wednesday night until it actually arrives! This is the last week in my month long celebration of All Hallows Eve that brings us to another Dark Eve where it’s been crisper outside and the haunted winds blow our cloaks to flow in wild abandon. We’ll talk about all kinds of stuff that creeps in the backs of your minds. Let’s not forget the music! If it’s dark and lovely (lol) I’ll be spinning and mixing it live! The Darkhours no longer has to stick to mainly goth and industrial and darkwave goth metal and such. It can hit the classic from the 60’s and beyond. The show is evolving into a more inviting atmosphere. Not so chained to any one musical genre, but free to celebrate music of all eras that had dark undertones. It could Be the Beatles, the Doors or the Moody Blues or Pink Floyd, It could be Black Sabbath or Rainbow or Dio, it could be Depeche Mode or Siouxie and the Banshees or the Sisters of Mercy. It could be Nitzer Ebb or Nine Inch Nails or Lords of Acid. It could be Nirvana or System of a Down or Korn. It could be E Nomine, Within Temptation or Nightwish. It could be Gothminister , the Deathstars or the 69 Eyes… the point is...it could be ANYTHING as long as it comes from the dark side of the moon.
You’d never think you could spend 2 hours at home celebrating your inner dark freak you normally keep locked up in a cage inside of you! Episode six is just a click away!
