The Deathsquad Show: Episode 3 (Or Fireside with Deathsquad)
The Deathsquad Show or Fireside with Deathsquad, Episode 3
I’m up in the air actually about the name of my show, its always been “The Deathsquad Show” even when I attempted to call it Deathsquad Live, but I feel like I really don’t overly do a show. I’m starting to like the idea of “Fireside with Deathsquad” since its more me rambling on about stories and opinions, shit I would do around a camp fire while drinking beer. Anyways, its a whole new KMRL this season so maybe we’ll play switcharoo, let me ponder this.
Tonight on The Deathsquad SHow, GWAR! Yes, indeed my favorite band is celebrating their 25th anniversy of existance which is something to take note in the world of music, these guys have placed space alien barbarian gods for 25 years, making enough money to continue doing something that they very much enjoy doing. People have always bad mouthed Gwar and for all the wrong reasons. You don’t listen to Gwar for serious lyrics, their music tells their story and like I’ve always said, each album is its own story in the chapter of Gwar.
The feature I shall be playing tonight at 11 is their latest album, the official 13th Album and their 25th anniversey, LUST IS SPACE. It is said that the story of this album is about Gwar finally leaving earth, one of their main storylines since the dawning of their time, but returning after they start to miss crack.
The musical compensition of this album cannot be described, indeed it is Gwar at their finest metal, fuck anyone who dares claim that Gwar cannot play their instruments. Yes there was an era of Gwar that was stupid and foolish, even they acknowledge this, but we have seen them transform back into the gods of theatrical metal that they are.
So tonight, 10pm, The Deathsquad Show >or< Fireside with Deathsquad, whatever you think it should be called, Gwar: Lust in Space, fresh off the press. Be there or Be Square.
